Comprehensive Eye Health Examination
You will spend an hour with one of our friendly therapeutically qualified optometrists, Kate or Ella. They will take the time to listen to your visual needs, hear what is working well, or what you may be struggling with, so that they can tailor the eye test to you. The extra time allows them to best explain the outcome of the eye test, and help you understand what is best for your vision. Every one of our patients, regardless of age, gets a thorough eye exam to assess the entire visual system. This may include:
- Refraction – checking your glasses prescription
- Binocular Vision Assessment – how your eyes and brain work as a team
- Eye Health Assessment
- Intraocular Pressure – measuring pressure inside the eyeball
- Digital Retinal Photography – photos of the back of your eyes
- Visual Field Screening – testing your peripheral vision
- Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) – 3D high definition images of the back of your eyes
- Topography – elevation maps of the front surface of your eyes
There are some eye diseases that may sneak up on you without any symptoms. Early detection is the best form of treatment, so regular eye exams are recommended.
